No matter when you came into the Buffyverse fold, it is a tale as old as time...

In every generation, there is a chosen one. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons, and the forces of darkness...with a bunch of cool friends and hilarity will ensue.

From the first episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, “Welcome to the Hellmouth,” which premiered on the WB Network on March 10th, 1997, when I was in um, grade...10ish...and rocking some late ’90s fashion myself, to the series finish with “Chosen” on May 30, 2003, it has since continued to live on in the hearts, minds, re-runs and further on currently in amazing comics, entertaining, enlightening fans new and old. Buffy truly is and continues to be a superhero all her own (and the Scoobies of course).

With twenty years of memories created by Joss Whedon, from the Scooby Gang, dusting vamps, interesting wardrobes, big bads and horrible heartbreaking moments, it is something that I find Buffy fans can connect with again and again while out and about at Cons or geek events. 

For example, this awesome theatre full of Buffy jovial fans at a sing-along event screening of "Once More, with Feeling", all going GRRR ARGH with little jelly monsters on our fingers at the finale! How awesome!

A shared consciousness, a bond beyond a simple TV series, but rather a devoted and diverse Buffy fan community that is compassionate, funny, friendly and strong as hell.

I love celebrating that community with each piece I create in my Slayers Collection as an homage and inspiration to the Buffy fandom!
