The fans continue to entertain and challenge me with their requests for items to sew up in their favouite fandoms.
Book Bags
During the River City Comic & Toy Expo, I got to meet a wonderful lady who is an avid real, book made of paper reader. She brought in her many times repaired and well loved book bag, or "fabric book cover with handles", that she felt could use a proper retirement.
It was a neat project, so I was game! She is a Star Wars fans as well as a Walking Dead/horror fan, so we worked out which fandoms to place where and a custom order was born!
Here is the finished result! It is just adorable and super useful too!
I can definitely see more literary lovers falling for these book covers out at markets this summer.

Custom Slayer Messenger Bag
What could be better than heading out to San Diego Comic Con with an easy to wear bag covered in your favouite kick ass fandom?! With Slayer on the outside and Spike lining the inside, this bag leaves enough room for some essentials while out and about at the Con!
I am also so pumped that one of my handmade items will be worn as an accessory on the floor of the SDCC!! Huzzah! ( I'm also jealous that this inanimate object gets to attend this ultimate Con before me...one day...lol)

Custom Xenomorph Bag
This one has been a long time coming...and is an order placed by one of my best friends, who is such a great helper at my booth at the Cons!
She wanted my Dusty Black Xenomorph patterned fabric for the exterior along with my Facehugger and Alien Eggs fabric in acid green for the interior, which I think is a great contrast!
Both patterns are available to all geeks as fabrics and wrapping paper in my Spoonflower Shop, StellarEvolutionDesigns!
She also asked for a zippered pocket to be added to the outside and the inside. I did have to modify the sides of a slouchy bag slightly to have tabs with rings, which allowed me to insert a zipper closure into the top of the main bag.
Now everything in that purse can be on lockdown under the zippers-lol! This heavily modified pattern worked out great and upon delivery she was giddy to actually have it in real life!
And because she too is a bookworm, and a hard worker, I also gave her a matching book cover bag!
SO...What Do You Dream Of?
So if these folks can put in their custom requests, so can you! I'm more than happy to talk about making you your dream items, or remaking an item you loved to pieces!
Bring it by my booth at an upcoming event or send me a photo and we can create awesomeness together!
