I had some time to do some spring cleaning and thought I would shoot a little video of me putting one of my more recently acquired BJD’s room back in place and describe how I built her world. Rhea is a new-to-me Momoni Nena02 Reria in Iced Blue.

Rhea’s name was inspired by the 5th moon of Saturn, one of my favourite planets. It is an icy planet and as I found her icy blue colour to be lovey I thought it suited her quite well.

When you take a look at colourized images of Rhea, the moon, it is actually silvery, white and goldish in colour, which help inform my colour choices for her space. (Technically, the colors shown in the global mosaic maps are enhanced, or broader, relative to human vision, extending into the ultraviolet and infrared range...but you know, inspiration is still inspiration.)

The images that came back from Cassini as it explored Saturn, specifically the hexagon storm, also hooked my imagination and I aim to include all items hexagon shaped when I find them, which lends itself to the tables all being hexagon in shape!

Her space and wardrobe choices are all moved by this backstory and universe of inspiration.

Rhea’s mission is to be a traveller that collects all sorts of treasures, and her adventure is still unfolding. She may be a universal traveller, a terrestrial traveller or a time traveller, it is too early to tell.
