Once again booked for the Valentine's Weekend, Horror Con is for My Kinda People...The Creepy Kind ;)

No date required for attending this ghoulish event full of folks who love all that goes bump in the night.

From the spine tingling to the campy B-rated features, it is a free for all who just love a good scare, get together to talk favouite bad guys and take a run through a zombie gauntlet....wait, wha? (scroll down to learn more)

I had a great time at the first ever Horror Con in 2016 and am so happy it is returning in 2017! Mark your calendars for Feb 11 & 12th, 2017.

Guest Announcement

HORRORCON GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT was made at the end January 2017 and will be BILL MOSELEY!

Film actor and musician; he has starred in a number of cult classic horror films including "House of 1000 Corpses", "Repo! The Genetic Opera" and "The Devil's Rejects".
His first big role was in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2" as Chop Top.
On the HBO TV series "Carnivàle", Moseley had a recurring role as camp cook Possum. He has also released records with guitarist Buckethead in the band "Cornbugs", as well as featuring on the guitarist's solo work.

Adrienne Jo Barbeau at C4 Horror Con

Adrienne Jo Barbeau is an American actress and author best known for her roles on the TV seriesMaude (1972) and in horror films, especially those directed by John Carpenter, with whom she was once married. She was born on June 11, 1945 in Sacramento, California, the daughter of an executive for Mobil Oil.

Early on in her career, she starred in Someone’s Watching Me! (1978), The Fog (1980), Escape from New York (1981) and Swamp Thing (1982), all John Carpenter-related projects. She has collaborated with George A. Romero on occasion, such as the Stephen King-scripted Creepshow (1982) and Two Evil Eyes (1990). Her work with other horror directors includes the Wes Craven comic book monster movie Swamp Thing (1982). During the 1990s, she became best known for providing the voice of Catwoman on Batman: The Animated Series (1992).

All the blood, zombification and gore allowed! We all know CJ from previous years of conventions - he does things up right!

Steve Roberts brings his Leatherface TExas Chainsaw Massacre booth back to the event - a great attraction for a photo-op with a horror related costume!

Costume Contests:
Our Costume Contest will be on Saturday at 4 o’clock on the Main stage however the Scariest Costume Contest will be an all weekend event where the scarier the costume the better prize you can win!
We will take photos of your costume and announce the winner Sunday at close.
You do not need to be present to win.
Short Story and Dark Poetry contests:
For our contests all short stories and dark poetry submissions must be sent to info@c4con.com and must clearly state in the Header/Subject “Submission For ______” .
The deadline for all submissions will be Feb. 3rd.
All submissions must follow the requirements and once accepted by the C4 board of directors you will have a chance to read out your submissions to the audience.
The winners will be notified within 14 days of the last day of the convention.
Bloody Valentine Short Story Contest:
The submissions for this contest are limited to 2000 words max.
They must fall under the Horror Genre, must NOT contain Profanity or Inappropriate Content, must tell a Full Story (not a chapter of longer work), must be Titled and must not be Plagiarized.

Telltale Hearts Dark Poetry Contest:

The submissions for this contest are limited to 200 words max.
They must fall under the Horror Genre, must NOT contain Profanity or Inappropriate Content, must be Titled and must not be Plagiarized.

Also - remember that massive pirate ship on Halloween in Winnipeg?? Well "Shipwreck Avenue" pulling up anchor and sailing to Horror-con as well.
