The Vegan Handmade Market, featuring 40+ handmade vendors, is about celebrating all things cruelty-free in Winnipeg on Dec 2nd from 11am to 4pm at Robert A. Steen Community Centre, 980 Palmerston Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Other features of this market include:
Shawarma Khan will be there with hot food.
In the basement, we’ll kick the event off with the Winnipeg Vegan Bake Sale and then have a couple of workshops (soon to be announced).
Where do my handmade items fit in?
I'm excited as a first timer to this event! But I know some folks have asked, how do I feel my items fit in?
I do make my wares from EcoCanvas and faux leathers, and the company that prints the majority of my fabrics uses a printing process that consumes no water, uses non-toxic inks, and wastes less fabric than traditional methods by only printing each customer’s order.
I also use top-notch recycled hardware & post-consumer recycled fabrics when possible to reduce environmental waste.
Do I have to be a vegan to attend?
Nope. But please, keep an open mind.
I have friends attending with awesome cosmetics, beautiful art and colouring books! I highly recommend coming to check out the diverse group of makers!
